The Burger Stop is a straightforward, no-frills American hamburger joint tucked in Santa Ana’s South Broadway corridor. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where the focus is clearly on freshly made, satisfying burgers rather than upscale ambiance. The exterior and interior carry a raw, somewhat unfinished vibe, which might catch you off guard at first, but the solid food and helpful service quickly become the real draw here.

This place works best as a casual, budget-friendly stop for families or groups looking to enjoy classic American staples without fuss. Their menu covers a range of options like the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, Avocado Burgers, and hearty double or triple patties, alongside comfort sides such as chili cheese fries and zucchini fries. Portions are generous and the prices lean toward the affordable, making it a practical meal pit stop, especially if you’re exploring nearby attractions like the Santa Ana Zoo.

The atmosphere is lively, with a steady flow of customers even on quieter afternoons. Staff members often multitask seamlessly, creating a friendly, down-to-earth vibe that suits the laid-back setting. While the décor isn’t a highlight, the genuine interaction with the cashiers and kitchen crew adds a layer of warmth to the visit.

If you’re stopping by, mid-afternoon or early evening tends to be less busy, allowing for quicker service and a chance to savor freshly prepared burgers without rush. The Burger Stop suits locals and visitors who value straightforward, tasty American fare served quickly — perfect for families, workers on a break, or anyone craving a decent burger without the frills.

Great food and service! Our family really enjoyed the burgers—everything was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent, and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. We were able to feed all five of us (3 adults and 2 kids) for around $50, which was a great value. This was the perfect spot to stop and eat during our trip to the Santa Ana Zoo. Highly recommend!

When we first pulled up to The Burger Stop, I’ll admit my expectations were low. The exterior looked a bit rough, with paint marks and an unfinished vibe inside. But appearances can be deceiving, because what came next was honestly impressive. Our cashier, Adrian, was a rockstar. He was friendly, confident, and helped us decide between two signature burgers: the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger and the Colossal Burger. We went with the bacon avocado, grabbed some onion rings, waffle fries, and fried zucchini, and waited to see if the food lived up to the energy. When our order came out, it was 10 out of 10 across the board. The presentation was beautiful, the patties were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and every topping hit just right. The onion rings and zucchini fries were golden, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the waffle fries had that ideal crunch. The best part? The ranch dressing came automatically with our sides, no extra charge, no need to ask. Small detail, major win! If The Burger Stop ever decided to lean into its name like a gamer-themed fast food brand à la “GameStop,” they could totally call this masterpiece the “Level-Up Bacon Avocado Burger.” It fits the playful “Stop” theme, and honestly, the flavor deserves that kind of badge. Now, the food was near perfect, but not everything hit 100 percent. The horchata was too sweet and lacked a creamy balance, though the fountain drinks were totally fine. The interior could use some design love, some patchy paint and random décor choices, but credit where it’s due: the tables were spotless and grease-free. The team running the place deserves huge recognition. Adrian had excellent customer service and charm, and the Asian woman working that day was incredibly kind and hardworking, even with a slight language barrier. You could see her genuine care for every guest. Everyone on staff was hustling, making sure orders got out fast. Overall, The Burger Stop is exactly what a local burger joint should be: great food, genuine service, and a few quirks that make it memorable. The imperfections give it character, but the food, especially that Level-Up Bacon Avocado Burger, steals the show. Would I go back? Absolutely. Probably tomorrow.

I tried The Burgerstop for the first time today, and it didn't disappoint. Let me start by recognizing Angel. He was doing a little of everything. He was taking orders, answering phones, and prepping orders. He was very calm and handled business. The place was busy and now I know the reason behind it. The food was delicious. We ordered a BBQ bacon burger, cheeseburger, junior cheeseburger, zucchini fries, and chili cheese fries. The ambiance was good, I definitely recommend this burger spot.

I’ve driven past Burger Stop several times and decided to give them a try today since my neighbor recommended them. It wasn’t very busy when I arrived around 330pm on a Sunday. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger (dry), a side of onion rings and waffle cut fries. No soda, since I prefer to eat my calories. Lol The burger was freshly made and well seasoned. The WC fries and onion rings were also freshly made and very good. A nice portion of both, In case you are sharing. I’ll be back and will try the avocado bacon cheeseburger next time, with the sweet potato fries. One thing I will point out, the cooks in the back aren’t wearing gloves. I mention this, since I saw it on other reviews and want to confirm. I know they should be wearing gloves, but I have a cast iron stomach and really could care less.
